Job Summary:
The Department of Pharmacology is actively engaged in uncovering fundamental mechanisms of biological systems, so that they can be targeted and manipulated in a therapeutic context to treat or prevent disease. Our mission is to advance the field of Pharmacology through innovative and impactful research, and through training the next generation of scientists. While the classic definition of Pharmacology is the study of drugs, their toxicology, and their therapeutic use, we define pharmacology more broadly.
We are seeking applications for an Executive Assistant and Event Planner. This senior-level position is an integral part of the Department of Pharmacology operations. It serves as the face of the Department for recruits, seminar speakers, donors, and other external constituents. The candidate organizes all Department related events and actively participates in the annual Spring retreat and end of year award ceremony. They contribute to valuing all department members, ensuring all are treated respectfully, and creating a sense of belonging.
The executive assistant provides support to the Department Chair. They will serve as the Marketplace requestor for the Chair’s lab approving purchases and keep a close eye on the financial portfolio of the Chair to ensure expenses are compliant and within university, state, and sponsor policies. The candidate should take on tasks independently with direction from the Director of Finance and Administration. They will disseminate all department related communication and organize meetings for the Chair and department related committees as needed. They will be part of a closely knitted administrative team who thrives under collaboration and a respectful work ethic.
Work Location:
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings in Aurora, CO.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $60,514 – $76,974.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
