Job Summary: | The Data Architect is a key data platform position within the RIO and will work closely with the CRIO and other leadership on campus to advance a research data ecosystem with a focus on advancing research informatics and designing a cutting-edge data platform to support researchers at CU Anschutz. The Data Architect develops strategic objectives and goals and implements aligned strategies. The Data Architect will work with leaders, team members, and other stakeholders on a wide variety of data architecture, compliance, and security issues to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and University rules and regulations around the CU Anschutz Medical campus data. The person in this role will report to the Deputy CRIO and be responsible for leading and mentoring a team (initially 3 - 4 people) of data analysts, data engineers, and informaticists, and will be responsible for community outreach to improve data pipelines primarily to and from regional hospitals, but from other sources as well, such as Federal, State, and local agencies. The Architect will be expected to work closely with partner hospitals on the campus and throughout the region with a focus on improving health outcomes and health research. This person will also work closely with University IT, Security, Compliance, and research IT teams to ensure quality data access control and data security and privacy. Key Responsibilities:

Anticipated Pay Range: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $133,268 to $190,290. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
