Academic Hospitalist

Job details:

The UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health is seeking applicants for academic hospitalist positions. Our goal is to provide faculty members with clinical experiences that match their interests while also creating opportunities to explore and develop a path for self-defined academic success. Faculty positions include clinical experiences on the teaching, direct care, consult, and comanagement services at UCSF Health and our community-based affiliate, St. Mary's Medical Center, and also include dedicated time for faculty development and pursuit of academic interests. These academic interests can include (but are not limited to): social medicine, medical education, quality improvement, patient safety, high-value care, global health, health policy, and informatics.

To best meet the needs of our diverse patient population, trainees, and the city of San Francisco, the Division of Hospital Medicine is seeking applicants who demonstrate a unique contribution and commitment to diversity. Successful candidates for faculty positions will be excellent clinicians with strong references. Successful candidates demonstrate a commitment to equitable patient care, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and dedication towards furthering the field of hospital medicine through their scholarly and teaching experiences. Candidates must possess an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, and be eligible for licensure in the State of California at the time of hire.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $104,800-$320,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
