The School of Business at the University of California, Riverside is a nationally ranked and internationally recognized AACSB-accredited business school. Under the general supervision of the CFAO, the incumbent is primarily responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, processing, and managing travel requests from faculty and staff, reimbursement related to travel (Concur), and general financial operational support to the faculty and administrative staff. The Financial Analyst has primary responsibility for understanding and implementing the appropriate chart of account code (COA) on all financial transactions. Ensures appropriate funding availability for faculty and unit resources. The incumbent must understand and implement policies and procedures related to all procurement, entertainment, and travel transactions and reporting. This incumbent will be a backup for procurement, and non-travel epay reimbursement transactions and analysis. This incumbent will be responsible for front desk duties and general administrative support to the School.

Basic knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
Basic proficiency using spreadsheet and database software in financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Basic interpersonal skills; broad service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Under management guidance, uses organizational skills to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
Ability to function as a member of a team.
Basic knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Acquiring ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize and perform basic financial analysis assignments.
