University of California - Los Angeles Health is Hiring a Pathologists' Assistant Near Los Angeles, CA

DescriptionAs a Pathologists' Assistant, your primary responsibilities include:* Perform dissection, description, and histologic sampling of a full range of surgical specimens* Perform specimen photography and radiography* Perform frozen sections and other intraoperative consultations* Procure tissue for tumor banking and research studies* Identify, investigate, and resolve problems related to surgical pathology* Assist with accessioning and labeling specimens* Provide assistance to the orientation and training of residents, fellows, new employees, and* Pathologists' Assistant students in surgical pathology protocols and proceduresSalary Range: $86,900.00 - $197,300.00/annual

Qualifications* PA (ASCP) certified or must pass PA (ASCP) exam within 12 months of hire.* Bachelor's degree.* Must be able to work the occasional Saturday.* Must have the flexibility to work at both the Westwood and Santa Monica locations.* 2 or more years of relevant work experience, preferred.
