As a Pathologists’ Assistant, your primary responsibilities include:
•Perform dissection, description, and histologic sampling of a full range of surgical specimens
•Perform specimen photography and radiography
•Perform frozen sections and other intraoperative consultations
•Procure tissue for tumor banking and research studies
•Identify, investigate, and resolve problems related to surgical pathology
•Assist with accessioning and labeling specimens
•Provide assistance to the orientation and training of residents, fellows, new employees, and
•Pathologists’ Assistant students in surgical pathology protocols and procedures
Salary Range: $86,900.00 - $197,300.00/annual
