University of California - Los Angeles Health is Hiring an Academic HR Analyst 1 Near Los Angeles, CA

DescriptionThe Department of Medicine is seeking to hire a dynamic Academic HR Analyst 1 to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the academic landscape through your expertise in strategic, academic human resources. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of crucial tasks, from crafting and implementing policies to evaluating programs and procedures. With a focus on areas such as academic recruitment, faculty welfare, and equity, you'll play a key role in fostering a supportive and thriving academic community within the Department. Hourly range: $24.62-$48.18
QualificationsREQUIRED: * Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training* Acquiring knowledge of and ability to apply / interpret organization and college policies and procedures which govern academic HR.* Acquiring knowledge of organization, college, and departmental formal and informal policies and procedures, and understanding of variances to stated policies* Acquiring knowledge of organization's human resource management system (HRMS) and other related business software programs and systems* Acquiring knowledge of unit academic culture and educational goals of discipline(s) served* Analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organizational and problem-solving skills* Skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
