**Cook I (Multiple Positions) (Student Unions) (Production)** **Location** Main Campus The Arizona Student Unions is looking for multiple positions for Cook I to work in our Production Kitchen. This position performs advanced food preparation and production for food service units.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

* Prepares food on hot or cold production line

* Prepares food items from recipes for restaurant on a daily basis

* Coordinates food preparation needs with supervisor and p.m. staff

* Coordinates ordering needs (pork, chicken, and beef) with supervisor and p.m. staff

* Performs food preparation tasks such as sandwich, salad making and beverage preparation, following written standardized recipes

* Cleans and processes fruits and vegetables according to recipes specifications

* Labels, dates and stores fruits and vegetables in proper areas

* Assembles necessary ingredients to prepare orders

* Labels and dates products

* Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

* Slices meats and cheeses as required by daily production needs

* Wraps, weighs, labels all deli meats and cheeses to meet daily production

* Assists cold food production when possible

* Prevents cross contamination of food products

* Weighs, labels and dates all food items; stores in designated areas

* Cleans counter tops, windows, walls, shelves, drain screens and floor mats

* Sends all utensils to be washed and when returned - checks to see that all utensils are properly stored

* Empties sanitizer and takes out trash

* Acquiring basic knowledge of job content, practices and procedures.

* Still learning skills necessary to fully perform all aspects of the job

**Minimum Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience may be required

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to occasionally transport/move a minimum of 40 pounds

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience operating various commercial kitchen equipment

* Experience in food service operation including large quantity food preparation
