University of Arizona is Hiring an Accountant I - Center for Applied Transportation Services (CATS) (Part Time) Near Tucson, AZ

**Accountant I - Center for Applied Transportation Services (CATS) (Part Time)** **Location** Main Campus The Center for Applied Transportation Services, CATS, in the department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics (CAEM) seeks an accounting professional to support the director of CATS. This position is responsible for all financial and human resources functions of the Center. **Duties & Responsibilities** Financial Management and Operations

* Utilize system enterprise tools (UAccess Financials and Analytics) to customize monthly financial updates, provide projections, and ad-hoc financial reports as requested

* Manage, control, and analyze expenditures in accordance with budgeted amounts in CATS membership accounts

* Provide on-going fiscal review, monitor, and recommend necessary action

* Assist director with the completion of annual financial report that will be submitted to college leadership and Research Innovation and Impact, RII

* Participate in internal and external audits; prepare audit documents

* Prepare financial transactions such as purchase orders, disbursement vouchers, travel reimbursements, etc.

Human Resources in Collaboration with the Harshbarger-Mines Business Center

* Assist with personnel recruitment activities for CATS

* Post job positions onto Talent, the UA's recruitment portal

* Generate offer letters

* Conduct new employee onboarding

* Prepare personnel transactions such as undergrad and graduate student hiring, supplemental compensation, position distribution, etc.

**Minimum Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting

* Minimum of 1 year of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience with UArizona business enterprise systems such as UAccess Financials, Analytics, Employee, and Student
