Position Summary
The Project Manager will oversee all phases of the building process, making sure the project is completed on time and within the budget. Must pay close attention to accuracy, safety and have the ability and skills to manage billing, project schedules and build working relationships with contractors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule, coordinate and manage contractors and suppliers.
- Collect information and assist in the develop Request for proposals.
- Participate in construction planning process.
- Track and adhere to project schedules.
- Review billing, change orders, for accuracy.
- Manage subcontractors and installers on smaller projects.
- Verify quality workmanship and University standards are followed.
- Review drawings and specifications.
- Develop project punch listed.
- Verify close out documentation is received and accurate.
- And other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School graduate and 3-7 years similar experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree
10 plus years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to manage personal and contractors.
Manage schedules.
Motivate contractors.
Understand construction billings.
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
Physical Requirements
Ability to easily maneuver around a construction site.
Work Environment
Exterior and interior weather conditions.
