Nihao! Bonjour! Olá! We’re Universal Yums, the beloved international snack subscription box. Since our launch in 2014, we've shipped over 5 million boxes and more importantly, allowed countless families to create a ritual of quality, screen-free time together.
We’re looking for a people-first, process-minded Director of Operations to lead our Operations function and execute on our current and new product fulfillment with ease. In this role, you’ll be a part of our Executive Team and report directly to the COO, with equity and profit-sharing as part of your executive compensation package.
What you’d do at Universal Yums
- Lead the Operations Management and Customer Experience teams, ensuring all of our customers receive on-time, accurate orders (and if not, ensuring they’re happy with our resolution to make it right!)
- Partner with HR to build a best-in-class employee lifecycle for all warehouse employees and temporary staff, including recruitment, training, promotions, raises, performance reviews, and overall organizational structure.
- Become a subject matter expert in our ERP, Fulfil. Use your expertise to implement improved workflow automation and KPI tracking that deliver meaningful improvements to the customer experience.
- Implement automation across the Operations function to lower costs and improve efficiency.
- Present successes to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and develop our people within Operations at board-level meetings. Train cross-functional Executive Team members on how to apply your wins into their functions to improve the overall direction of the Company.
Who you are
- 7 years of experience in warehouse or operations management, with a people management track record
- Experience with B2C fulfillment - a plus
- Proficiency in Spanish - a major plus.
- Mastery with Excel / Google Sheet
- Proficiency in ERP software
- Ability to build complex systems, manage complex projects, and manage time between many competing priorities
