Description
As a Pediatrician working in a clinic setting, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents in the local community. Your primary duties will include conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and administering vaccinations. You will also be expected to monitor growth and development, provide counseling on nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits, and address any concerns or questions from parents or guardians. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, social workers, and specialists, will be essential for providing holistic care to pediatric patients. Additionally, you may be asked to participate in community outreach programs, health education initiatives, and preventive care efforts to promote the overall well-being of children in the community. Strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for pediatric medicine are essential for success in this role.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct physical examinations of infants, children, and adolescents.
Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries.
Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care services.
Administers and orders for diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiograms and lab tests.
Monitor growth and development milestones.
Educate parents or guardians on child health, nutrition, and safety.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Participate in community outreach programs and health education initiatives.
Address concerns and questions from parents or guardians regarding their child's health.
Stay updated on medical advancements and guidelines related to pediatric care.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
State medical license to practice as a pediatrician.
Board certification in pediatrics (or board eligible)
Residency training in pediatrics.
3 years of experience as a Pediatrician
SKILLS
Experience with Eclinicalworks is a plus.
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric medicine.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassion and empathy for pediatric patients and their families.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development
