ABOUT THE COMMERCIAL INSURANCE ACCOUNT MANAGER POSITION

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our dynamic company. This is a senior level position and is well suited to an individual who is looking to advance their career. Universal Business Insurance is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to train and learn how to handle all servicing aspects of the agency's largest accounts among others, predominately in the Hotel and Assisted Living space. We are a Risk Management driven Property & Casualty Independent Insurance Agency where you will learn how to create risk management modalities for client facing assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Advise and assist clients by explaining coverage options/exclusions, making coverage recommendations, requesting policy changes, and assisting in the needs of the client.
• Manage Marketing of renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations.
• Assist Producers in their delivery of commitments to clients.
• Initiate renewal reviews and re-markets as appropriate, to provide the client with the optimal solution in the coverage of their assets and the retention of the client.
• Through service touch points, review current coverage, recommend changes in coverage or markets, and actively solicit rounding out of accounts.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years of related commercial lines experience and a current P&C license in any state is required. Utah license preferred and will need to be attained within 30 days.
• 5 years of insurance account manager, customer service experience with a retail broker / independent agency.
• Senior Level Experience with Certificates and EOP’S, Commercial Auto, Commercial Umbrella, Casualty/General Liability, Hospitality, Property, Senior Living Centers, Umbrella/Excess Liability, Waiver of Subrogation, and Workers’ Compensation required.
• Mid-level experience with Builder’s Risk, Coastal, Executive Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Liquor Liability, Loss of Income, Excess & Surplus Lines Loss, Social Services, and Wildfires required.
• Advanced knowledge of Claims Made Policies, Claims Processing, Quoting and Rating, and Surplus Lines Filing required.
• Experience with Captives, Medical Malpractice, Loss Summaries, Risk Analysis, Earthquake, Flood/Wind/Hail, Nursing Homes, and Non-Profits preferred.
• Proficiency with Applied Systems Epic or AMS, Zywave, Adobe, DocuSign, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Word, Windows 10, and Zoom required. Salesforce preferred.
• High School Diploma required. Some college preferred.
• Must be a customer and detailed oriented individual with good communication and problem-solving skills who takes initiative and exercises good judgment.
• CISR, CIC or CPCU preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
