Shift: As needed, hours may vary based on need. Day/PM shift.
Compensation: $20.00
Hours Per Week: 0-40 based on department need.
Weekends: Some
Per Diem Non-Benefit Eligible
The student sonographer must be currently enrolled in an accredited sonography program, and have passed both the physics and Abdomen or OB/GYN board exams. Student sonographers are responsible for performing a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures under the indirect supervision of a licensed sonographer. Student sonographers will only be expected to perform exams for which they have received training and instruction. *If at any point the student sonographer withdraws from or is not in good standing in the sonography program, their employment will be terminated. Enrolled in an accredited sonography program and remains in good standing.
1 year of direct patient/health care experience (accredited program may count as experience)
Registered by RDMS in Physics and one of the following: Abdomen, OB/GYN
Ability to recognize normal and abnormal findings
Demonstration of clear and concise verbal and communication skills
Excellent Communication and organizational skills.
Self-motivated & directed with regard to increasing level of understanding and knowledge.
