Compensation:

• Hourly, non-exempt
• New hires can expect to be placed on our starting wage scale of $28.17 to $33.65 per hour
• Based on performance, there is room to grow on our full wage scale of $28.17 to $39.18 per hour

Work Schedule:

• Full time, 40 hours/week
• Schedule is mainly weekdays, but must be flexible to work occasional early mornings, evenings &/or weekends
• Hybrid schedule

Job Summary

As our Communications Specialist, you would be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative tasks to support the Planning & Development Department including managing UCNW’s social media presence, ad placement, and video production. In addition, this position is the electronic communications super user. Duties would include but are not limited to the following:

• Managing UCNW’s social media presence
• Supporting UCNW’s marketing efforts
• Producing and coordinating internal communication efforts
• Working with the Planning & Development Department on UCNW priorities

Requirements

• Experience & proficiency with videography, including editing, & social media campaigns
• Ability to work independently & be self-directed while also working collaboratively with the Planning & Development team & other teams at UCNW 
• Possess written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge at a level typically acquired through completion of a general studies high school program.
• Possess specific knowledge and training in Communications typically acquired during completion of a certificate in Communications. 
• Ability to use applicable marketing and communications software
