United Zion Retirement Community is Hiring an Environmental Services Assistant Director Near Lititz, PA

We are looking for a team orientated individual who is passionate about caring for the building and campus while providing great service to the residents of United Zion Retirement Community. The Environmental Service Assistant Director will provide support to the Environmental Service Director as well as work with the Maintenance, Laundry and Housekeeping teams to help keep commercial and residential systems, equipment, and appliances operating effectively, efficiently, and safely. The individual will provide general maintenance and may cover open positions within the department.

Full-time salaried position. Day shift, 8am-4:30pm or 9am-5:30pm

Key Position-Specific Responsibilities & Duties:

Perform general maintenance repair, preventative maintenance, completion of work orders.

Available for all EVS duties including maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, grounds and transportation as needed.

Understand and expertly utilize the computerized work order system.

Communicate and work with vendors and contractors.

Communicates effectively with team members, keeping them updated and informed of any changes and resident moves.

Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Building custodian, maintaining a neat and tidy appearance of the facility.

Operate and maintain maintenance and cleaning equipment and machinery.

Maintain grounds for safe and neat appearance. Seasonal grounds keeping duties as needed.

Report, document, assign or repair/correct safety hazards in the building and on the grounds, in accordance with Life Safety Codes, Department of Health, OSHA and Department of Public Welfare and any other regulatory requirements.

Knowledge and adherence to regulations in accordance with Life Safety Codes, Department of Health, OSHA and Department of Public Welfare.

Assists in hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees. Assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.

Supervise and direct all EVS staff according to United Zion policy and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

Position Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Supervisory experience in long-term care preferred.

Valid PA driver's license.

Computer experience required.
