Position Overview : United Wound Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Caregivers.

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with wound care needs, providing essential support, and promoting their overall health and comfort.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while working in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide hands-on assistance with wound care procedures under the direction of licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as directed by physical therapists or rehabilitation specialists.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a nurturing and comforting environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living space for patients, including light housekeeping duties and ensuring proper infection control measures.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in wound care and caregiving practices.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in healthcare or caregiving preferred.
  • Prior experience in wound care, home healthcare, or caregiving roles is advantageous.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others; empathy and patience are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities; capable of following care plans and protocols accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license may be required, depending on location and patient assignments.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by regulatory agencies and company policies.
