United Welding is looking for an organized, resourceful and detailed Project Manager. You’ll be placed with a high functioning team at our fabrication shop in Fredericksburg, VA. This position requires great initiative, team working, flexibility, and superb communication skills, both internally and externally. This is an ideal position for someone who is passionate about building unique projects for a variety of important clients.

On any given day, you’ll be managing the fabrication and installation of construction work by field welders and other craftworkers within the United Welding team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, timeline, budget, and resource requirements.

- Coordinate and lead project kick-off meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.

- Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines, quality standards, and client specifications.

2. Communication and Collaboration:

- Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing regular project updates.

- Foster effective communication and collaboration between internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

- Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions.

3. Budget and Resource Management:

- Monitor project budgets and expenses, making adjustments as needed to ensure financial objectives are met.

- Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.

- Work closely with the finance department to track project costs and profitability.

4. Quality Assurance:

- Implement and enforce quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and client expectations.

- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.

United Welding was formed in 2009. We have been a leader in the fabrication and field installation of process pipe, structural, and custom metal items ever since. We are growing and need key team members to help facilitate that growth. We cover the 95 corridors from Richmond to Baltimore and all points East and West. The majority of our work is in the Metro DC Area. We deploy crews to jobsites in these areas daily as well as at our fabrication facility and offices located in Fredericksburg VA.
