Oertel Metalworks is currently seeking a reliable and safety-oriented  3rd Shift Industrial Prep Worker  for our Davenport, Iowa location.

Our Industrial Prep Worker  is responsible for preparing parts by grinding, sanding, cleaning, coating, and masking parts as required. The Industrial Prep Worker will also help transport, stage, and pack parts as required by the schedule created by the 1st shift Paint Lead. Strong quality standards being met by following instructions and paying attention to detail is a consistent priority for the Industrial Prep Worker.

What makes you successful in this position?

• The ability to consistently prioritize safety, organization and cleanliness while completing tasks.
• Ability to work in a small team, staying motivated and productive throughout the shift.
• Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook, and Word proficiency
• An understanding of hand tools. Ability to obtain a fork truck certification.

• Enjoy working in a physical role. You’ll be on your feet & moving throughout the shift, which could also include lifting 50 pounds occasionally.
• Team player mentality and the desire to be a part of a successful, hard-working team.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

This position works Sunday night through Thursday night from 9:30pm to 6:00am, with the option for overtime as dictated by workload.
