THE OPPORTUNITY
The United Way of Massachusetts (UWMB) Bay is seeking a Coordinator, Development Systems who will embrace the work of the UWMB Development team becoming a more diverse and inclusive department through the practice of community-centric fundraising principles. The Development department's charge is to unite, grow, and strengthen United Way's public and private partnerships, and leverage those partnerships to generate significant resources -- financial, talent, time, and connections -- with an emphasis on unrestricted support, to enable everyone across races and ethnicities to share in the wealth, knowledge, and resources available in our region.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Coordinator, Development Systems will support and administer fundraising infrastructure and department-level systems resources to help nurture and grow investments in United Way's work and increase its impact in the region. This is an outstanding early career opportunity for a highly motivated professional to help build and maintain strong fundraising systems that enable staff to strategize around and execute the organization's philanthropic goals.
This entry level role is positioned to learn and develop skills in several fundraising systems, data analytics, and research. The organization is in the process of evolving our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and this position will be directly involved in preparing the Development department for change and supporting the transition, implementation, and adaptation processes. The Coordinator, Development Systems will be part of the building of complex systems from the ground up.
While this role is internally-facing, relationship building and interpersonal will be essential to ensuring successful integration and operationalization of systems.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Coordinator, Development Systems supports the Development Systems team in ensuring best-in-class development systems. This role will assist in the implementing, monitoring, and delivering continuous improvement in fundraising and constituent data and reporting systems. This position will also be responsible for executing systems- and data-based processes that create efficiencies across the department and the organization. Under the guidance of the Director, Development Systems, this role works to ensure that Development team has access to clear, current, accurate, and relevant data and reports they need to understand their progress and achieve their stream goals. Success in this role will lead to: effective management of departmental progress towards goals; improved annual and multi-year pipeline projections; as well as improved donor acquisition, retention, and growth across the frontline fundraising streams. This position reports to the Director, Development Systems.
