Job Summary:

Support the Digitization efforts across all segments within the Application Development Americas team. Develop and commercialize new digital industrial gas related technologies that deliver economic benefit to the customers. Serve as a key technical resource to support Regional Business efforts to deliver profitable growth and develop lasting customer relationships.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Safety Leadership: Drive the Messer Americas safety agenda throughout the development process to ensure the company operates in a manner that is safe for our employees, customers and public.
• Support the Application Development Americas digitization agenda responsible for developing a platform of technologies/solutions for customers.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of internal tools used for PSO sizing, installation standards and quantifying the value of our PSOs.
• Work closely with regional counterparts through technical sales support to deliver new application related New Business and the overall business growth plan
• Work in a collaborative, team environment to execute new and ongoing technology development projects
• Prepare performance specifications and project plans for new application processes and equipment.
• Interfacing with internal and external customers
• Prepare patents or adapt other ways to protect new ideas
• Provides technical recommendations and supporting statements in marketing documentation and exhibits
• Conducts training for product implementation to sales staff
• Provide technical support from customer opportunities by demonstrating deep understanding of customer processes and the technologies Messer offers

Required Skills:

• Must be an innovative, driven, highly organized self-starter with the ability to handle multiple activities and comfortable interacting with cross functional teams.
• Ability to recognize opportunities for developing new applications
• Fundamental understanding of business cases, delivery of new product development and its economic impact. Ability to commercialize conceptual products / processes.
• Strong communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IS or Engineering
• At least 5-years experience in selecting and developing technology and engineering software platforms.
• Knowledge of digital platforms and application of sensors and software for data collection and monitoring.
• Experienced at working in a collaborative team environment.
• Proven record of recognizing and developing rough concepts into successful new product introductions.
