Description:
The Director of Corporate Technology aligns and leads the strategy and execution of the Technology Team across the Company. This role is responsible to ensure the right technology is in place and available 24/7 for all internal and external users, while delivering an exceptional user experience across the organization. Technology systems managed by this position include the Company’s core IT infrastructure, core ERP system and 3rd party integrated API applications (accounting/payroll/HR/time and attendance/job cost/work order management/scheduling/dispatching/project management/sales/CRM), custom and non-custom business applications, facility security systems, field/mobile construction and service solutions, estimating and sales tools, design/engineering software, safety management, 3D/BIM/point mapping/scanning hardware and software, shop fabrication CAD/CAM systems, mobile smartphone/tablet devices, fleet GPS tracking, and trade tool management software.

Reporting To: Vice President Operation

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all Technology Team personnel and manages goals, priorities, and outcomes to the organization’s business needs
  • Maintains maximum uptime and reliability for all Company users across all devices. Manages the recovery plan, processes, and implementation for compromised data and hardware events
  • Creates and aligns the technology and information road map to the Company’s business plans and continuously monitors and adjusts to changing business and environmental conditions.
  • Monitors the internal and external environment to stay on top of technology advances, information systems, and processes across the construction and facility services industries.
  • Leads the support of the critical business needs of internal customer productivity, external customer and service provider technical interactions, network and endpoint security management, uptime and reliability assurance, regulatory and compliance management, facility security, and data warehousing.
  • Leads the continuing evaluation, selection, procurement and overall vendor/supplier management of the Company’s technology hardware and software systems, mobile/field tech, and cloud/3rd party providers.
  • Offers a strong understanding of the user experience (both internally and externally) and establishes business processes, systems, technology, data, and information systems to achieve and exceed business outcomes.
  • Lead and participate in organizational projects that include cross-functional teams to deliver on key organizational outcomes aligned to our strategic plans.
  • Responsible for understanding the business needs of our internal and external stakeholders to align our organizational strategy and priorities to the Company’s objectives.

Required Skills/Abilities: *

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer / data science or related discipline.
  • 5 years of experience managing Corporate / Information Technology systems and personnel in a 100 employee organization.
  • Experience building foundational integrated core systems and leading transitions of legacy systems to cloud based systems, integrating data/information, and establishing a technology road map to meet business needs.
  • Construction, facility services, or manufacturing industry experience a strong plus.
  • Skilled working in a fast-paced environment and keeping an organization ahead of the many rapidly evolving technology trends.
  • Experience in multi-site organizations with distributed systems.
  • Embraces critical thinking, creativity and data in decision making to drive organizational outcomes.
