Job Purpose:

The Director will lead plant engineering and management to improve current printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing processes and PCB products. This includes reviewing production processes, materials, chemicals and equipment, building hypothesis for the issues based on thorough analysis, design and execute tests for root cause analysis to collect data, conclude causes, set and execute improvement plans working with plant engineering. Production yield will be used to measure this work.

The director also runs PCB material review and qualification for the entire corporation and supports OEM qualification programs for the plants. Support simulation data collection and maintenance for DMF tools, UL management, environmental data and document management and production data analysis.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Improve Sanmina PCB manufacturing processes working with plant engineering
• Identify weak points from the production data
• Analyze root cause and test based on the hypothesis
• Plan and execute product improvement tasks
• Database management for PCB production simulation
• UL project and database managements
• Environmental data and document preparations
• Review and assess Sanmina PCB processes and capabilities

Education and Experience:

• MS or higher Degree for science or material field.
• 10 years quality control (QC) or product engineering experience in PCB, semiconductor or similar process manufacturing fields.
• Deep knowledge for PCB process especially for imaging, etching, lamination, drill (mechanical and laser) and plating preferred.
• Familiar with logical thinking for the engineering process.
• Strong project management, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Strong connections for material and equipment manufacturers and for the other resources in the industry preferred.
• The candidate must meet ITAR requirements

Salary Range (annual) : $139,000.00 - $175,000.00
