We are currently looking for a qualified Receptionist/Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. The Receptionist/ Front Desk Coordinator performs all clerical and administrative duties for the dental office, including answering incoming telephone calls and greeting patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, managing patient and business records, and processing patient insurance. He or she helps with maintains an orderly waiting room. The ideal candidate has some post high school education or training and two years of experience in a position of similar responsibility (front desk, administrative assistant, etc.), preferably in a dental office. Candidates must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with Open Dental is highly preferred. ( DENTAL EXPERIENCE IS A MUST).
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greets all patients and visitors in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
• Manages inbound phone inquiries and routes calls accordingly
• Schedules and confirms patient appointments
• Manages schedules for the doctors at the practice
• Maintains patient charts
• Helps with patient billing and insurance
• Maintains a neat, clean office and reception area and ensures HIPPA Notice of Privacy Practice is properly displayed
• Provides administrative assistance as needed
• Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
• Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
• Two years of relevant experience preferred
• Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
• Highly professional and dependable
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent telephone skills
• Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with dental practice management software a plus
