Job Posting: Project Manager - Weatherization and Related Projects
Position Overview:
United Community Corporation (UCC) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Manager to oversee weatherization and related projects. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring project success by adhering to grantor and organizational policies, managing consumer services, and achieving project outcomes.
Essential Duties:
  • Manage weatherization and related projects, adhering to grantor's and organizational policies, requirements, and procedures.
  • Ensure contractual and project outcomes are achieved or exceeded.
  • Provide consumer services management.
  • Prepare and review proposals, agreements, budgets, revisions, reports, surveys, purchase documents, and other project requirements. Ensure timely meeting of deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain project policies and procedures. Implement effective tracking systems.
  • Investigate complaints, process appeals, and implement fraud prevention measures.
  • Maintain current and accurate project and organizational information systems. Train staff on their usage.
  • Manage vendor relations, including proposal preparation, analysis, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure and document vendor contract compliance.
  • Create, test, and maintain project internal controls.
  • Handle project collaboration, coordination, public relations, and Right-to-Know requests.
  • Engage in risk management reporting and mitigation.
  • Manage staff, including hiring and firing recommendations.
  • Attend trainings and meetings; travel as required.

Qualifications:
  • Special Traits: Enthusiastic, self-starter, quick learner, analytical thinker, problem solver, resourceful, innovative, detail-oriented, organized, capable of independent work, common sense, excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and one-year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Project management, personnel supervision, and budget management experience preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook), Internet Explorer, Windows OS, and HANCOC database data entry.

Physical Demands:
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands. Regular talking, hearing, and sitting. Occasional reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and smelling.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 65 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and electrical shock risk.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Work Conditions:
  • Reliable transportation and travel are required. Maintains required motor vehicle liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Maintains child abuse history clearance, criminal record report, other necessary clearances, and negative drug and alcohol screenings.
