Description
The Health Information Systems (HIS) Manager will be responsible to plan, lead and implement system analysis and design activities to assure the collection of primary data to match required indicators and those of interest; inputting of data into electronic format; integration of identified Health IT data sources, implementation of data quality standards, oversee Health IT systems development activities to support data analysis and modeling. He/She will work closely with staff leaders to agree on standards for shared data elements and oversee the design and development of tools that will facilitate data exchange between Health IT systems and address any gaps in data collection tools. Overall responsible for developing, planning, and implementing the digital, information services, managing and implementing technology to support in alignment with business and patient care operations. Performs multiple functional IT leadership responsibilities to streamline operational processes, prioritize multiple initiatives, determine process improvements, works with different leaders, and have comfort with ambiguity across rapidly changing technologies to ensure that up-to-date technology is implemented to support the organization’s goals.
Requirements
1. In-depth knowledge of healthcare information systems, electronic health records (EHR), health information exchange (HIE)
2. Displays a strong understanding of healthcare operations and how the use of healthcare information technology supports patient care, administrative business functions and regulatory requirements.
3. Demonstrates knowledge and ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements under HIPAA.
4. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure/demand environment.
5. Demonstrated experience with project management and policy development.
6. Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis and workflow analysis.
7. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituents individually, in small groups, and in large venues.
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), or related degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 5 to 10 years related EMR and IT experience.
3. Current CPR certification.
4. Valid Arizona driver’s license.

5. Familiarity with the QI/QA issues of a healthcare facility.

8. Proven experience in systems analysis and design.
9. Experience in eClinicalWorks, Azara and Data Analytics.
