General Description:The Human Resource Manager will plan, implement, direct and maintain UCA’s personnel services; serving as a resource, and maintaining staffing to ensure that personnel functions conform to state and federal requirements. The Director of Human Resources provides leadership to the Administrative Team and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.They play a leading role in the governance of the school, attending regular Board meetings and works closely with the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Trustees. UCA recognizes administration as integral part of the 5-fold ministry given to the church in Ephesians 4:11-13. As such, UCA administrators serve as ministers to help advance the mission and vision of United Christian Academy.

Qualifications:
Personal/Spiritual Leadership
Human Resource Functions
Risk Management
1. Oversee the risk management program, including insurance plans, workers compensation administration and claims.
2. Collaborates with the Director of Safety to ensure safety plan is comprehensive in scope and detailed in execution
3. Manages and maintains UCA’s IIPP, which includes the Work Place Violence Prevention plan.
4. Manages employee health/accommodation requests for the purpose of ensuring a healthy work force is available to UCA.
Employee Investigations/Grievance
1. Investigates grievances and/or complaints from employees (E.g. sexual harassment, pay and/or assignment disputes, etc.)
Substitute Teachers
1. Recruits, selects and orientates substitute teachers.
2. Coaches and disciplines substitute teachers with the support of School Principals.
3. Communicates job expectations, monitors, appraises and reviews job contributions with the School Principals
4. Enforces policies and procedures.
Teacher Mentoring Program
1. Collaborates with school principals for the purpose of ensuring newly hired Administrators and Teachers receive support and orientation to the UCA culture, practices and policies.

Work Schedule & Pay Scale:
Full-Time: Academic school year plus 25 days.
Full-time equivalency: 1.0
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises 2-4 employees and is responsible for the human resource management of the school. This person deals with highly confidential matters.

Work environment includes indoor and outdoor environments and office and classroom settings. Floating desk assignment and/or shared office space may be required; moderate noise levels commensurate to a classroom environment.
