United Auto Supply is Hiring a Delivery Driver Near Sewickley, PA

United Auto Supply distributor is seeking self-motivated individuals to operate a Company vehicle to deliver product to customers. Employee will load and unload delivery vehicle, verifies auto parts loaded and unloaded, collects payments from customers, obtains signatures from receiving locations confirming parts unloaded/loaded and delivers any returned items back to the branch.

Driver Job Description Essential Job Duties:

  • Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents.
  • Physically loads Company vehicle at the branch.
  • Follows best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck/car.
  • Drives to the delivery destination and physically unloads the vehicle, verifies the parts that are unloaded, obtains signature of the receiving location confirming the parts shown on the order were received and sign off on order.
  • Meeting delivery deadlines.
  • Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays.
  • Stay alert and oriented in case unexpected hazards are found on the road or to avoid accidents.
  • Must have knowledge of working a GPS and a tablet for signing off on orders.
  • Makes proper notations on the manifest and provides receipts on parts being returned from customers to the branch.
  • Always interact with customers and co-workers professionally.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.
  • Notify manager of any vehicle repairs needed in a timely manner.
  • Complies with established driver policies and procedures.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A valid drivers license, and in some cases a commercial driver’s license
  • Knowledge of how to handle materials safely
  • Familiarity with using navigation systems
  • Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule
  • Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving
  • Physical ability to load and unload heavy parts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
