United Auto Supply is a distributor of over 100 different manufacturers of automotive supplies. Due to our recent Automation expansion we are currently looking for experienced Automation Conveyor Technicians for day and night shift in our Syracuse location.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM AND 4:00PM-12:30AM Monday-Friday.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field preferred.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical.
• Develop and employ a Preventive Maintenance (PM) program
• Ability to work all days and shifts, including overtime to repair and maintain system off hours as required.
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems with assistance to include motors, reducers, bearings, photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, solenoids, and encoders
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization
• Communication skills to calmly, quickly and accurately describe location of and issues with material handling system via text or phone.
• Compliance with United and OSHA safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by management from time to time.
• Experience in the following areas is preferred: Automated conveyors systems and controls, Electrical and electronic principles ,Blueprint and electrical schematic reading is a plus, Preventative maintenance procedures
• Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
• Leadership experience/aptitude, ability to mentor and develop training plans for other service technicians.
• MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION AND A VALID LICENSE

Physical Demands:

• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Walking within and around the site with great frequency
• Ability to climb ladders safely and without limitation and work off platforms and equipment at significant heights.
• Full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists, eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours

Qualifications

• PC competency and ability to use handheld devices
• Highly proficient with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring
• Experience in the following areas: Work order management
• Preventive/predictive maintenance procedures
• Advanced blueprint and schematic reading
• Industrial Controls and Electronics
• Ability to troubleshoot Input/output functions
• Proficient understanding of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
