SUMMARY

The Logistics Manager is responsible for training, supporting, and developing assigned Members in the efficient operation of the Peachtree program and software to optimize program savings and overall results. This role involves tracking financial reports, analyzing purchase orders, leading carrier development, and engaging various departments within the Member organization related to Peachtree. The Logistics Manager collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders, including transportation providers, to ensure smooth operations. This position reports directly to the SVP Supply Chain and may involve up to 30% overnight travel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Train, support, and develop assigned Members in the operation of the Peachtree program to maximize program savings.

• Track weekly internal budget reports, addressing discrepancies with Members, and reporting to the SVP of Supply Chain.

• Analyze and prepare purchase order studies by Member, identifying vendor targets and additional income opportunities.

• Lead carrier development for Members, including the creation, disbursement, and collection of Member bids, claims arbitration, and payment/rebate resolution.

• Engage all departments within the Member related to Peachtree, including Operations, Transportation, IT, Accounting, and Procurement.

• Ensure transportation providers are updated with signed UniPro contracts and all required documents are on UniPro1.

• Present top-level logistics financial presentations with identified opportunities to Member upper management annually.

• Prepare weekly recap reports to the Supply Chain Department and senior leadership.

• Perform select on-site and virtual development for Members as assigned by the SVP Supply Chain.

• Travel on company business as necessary.

Directly reports to the SVP Supply Chain.

Internal contacts Supply Chain, Member Development, Finance, Category Management, HR and SBU’s.

External contacts Members, carriers, brokers, Suppliers, software providers, and providers of various operational products and services

OTHER FUNCTIONS

• Assist in developing the Peachtree Savings Budget for region members.

• Assist in all facets of SCOPE/PFL Conferences.

• Attend UniPro Conferences or Key Events as required.

• Attend various training conferences as needed.

• Assist in special projects assigned by the SVP Supply Chain.

• Attend departmental meetings involving Supply Chain topics.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum one year traffic management experience or a combination of three years transportation management experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PPT).
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills oriented around training and sales.
• Preferred: Foodservice industry knowledge and experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS).
