Union church is Hiring a Project Manager Near Concord, NC

This role serves the staff of Union Charlotte as its project manager. In addition to managing the schedule of deliverables from units within the departments, this role functions as a project strategist and planner for weekly experiences, marketing initiatives, and special events. The Project Manager possesses an above-average administrative skillset (planning, calendaring, budgeting, etc.), is incredibly detailed, a quick-thinker, and anticipates needs in a multi-faceted environment. This role works in partnership with the Leads Pastors of Union Charlotte to ensure excellence as a high standard and that Union Charlotte is equipped and prepared for the upcoming weekend services, production planning, and content ideation while managing all deliverables from inception to completion. 

Main Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Manages all department projects from brief through execution; identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation. 

Team Leadership

  • Serves as the day-to-day project manager of all teams within the experience department ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all components. 

Event Content Strategist

  • Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ideate experience elements that contribute to effectively communicating the mission and culture of Union Church Charlotte. 

Additional Responsibilities:

Ministry Hub Management

  • Hub organization 
  • Creation of Hub SOPs 
  • Hub Supply Supervision 
  • Ordering Items Needed 
  • Ordering Furniture needed 
  • Scheduling and Overseeing Printer for branded walls 
  • Management of utilities and vendors like cleaners, HVAC contractors, Plumbing, landscapers, etc.
  • Re-ordering supplies
  • Renovation projects
  • POC for neighboring businesses
  • Security and Access Control Management

Budgetary Reporting 

  • Divvy Coding for all Directors Digital Divvys 

Tracking and acquiring of all orders pertaining to big events 

  • Pray 21 books & cards
  • Invite Cards
  • T-Shirts 

Event Planning 

  • Not limited to Heart & Soul, Vision Dinner, Directors Meetings, Dream Team events
  • Coordinating food, supplies, and any additional items needed. 

Guest Accommodations 

  • Overseeing communication 
  • Overseeing the purchase of flights 
  • Hotel Accommodations 
  • Gifts for Guest 

Vehicle Maintenance

  • Cleaning, Oil Changes, Routine Maintenance 
  • Trailer Routine Maintenance 
  • Plate / Tag Renewals

Jay M Robinson Management

  • Coordinate dates for weekend experiences 
  • Work with vendor to upgrade school (Wi-Fi, lighting, audio, etc) 
  • Relationship management (Mr. Douglas, Principal, Teachers, Janitorial Staff)

Working across all teams to ensure they have what they need to execute their plays

  • Production - Early access for special setups, lighting installs, Audio installs
  • Outreach - Coordinator access to use the truck, and transport items from Hub/School
  • Students - Ensure off-duty officers and strategize student night plays.
  • Kids - POC for School
  • SUTD - POC for truck, trailers, and School 
  • Growth Track - POC for school and baptism setups

  • 3-5 years of experience in event management, creative management or hospitality preferred 
  • Experience in church-related production is preferred, but not necessary

  • Pastors, Coordinators, Coaches, Captains, Volunteer teams, Pastoral Staff, Elders, and Overseers

Additional Expectations 

  • Flexible schedule. (Workweek is Sunday-Thursday. Occasional night and weekend availability will be requested) 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for 30 minutes.

Union Church offers a generous compensation package. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience. In addition to the total compensation package, Union Church staff receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, paid time off (PTO), and paid holiday days.
