Hiring Pay Range: $18-$19 per hour

About UMOM New Day Centers: Founded in 1964, UMOM is Arizona's largest provider of services for families experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, rebuild lives, and end homelessness. With an annual operating budget of $22 million dollars, UMOM provides shelter, supportive services, and housing programs to families and single women experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County. UMOM serves over 15,000 unique individuals across all our services annually, including families receiving support at the Family Housing Hub.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares rooms for occupancy.
• Coordinates the timeliness of job completions and daily scheduled activities
• Coordinates activities of Housekeeping, including scope of work and prioritizing jobs.
• Provides coverage in the supply, laundry, and maintenance rooms, as needed.
• Reports and coordinates room maintenance needs with maintenance staff.
• Coordinates schedules and activities of night cleaning staff.
• Conducts supervision meeting with all direct reports, at least monthly. Documents supervision meetings and retain on network folder on computer.
• Complies with established agency policies and procedures, including safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualification and Competency Requirements:

Experience and Education

• HS Diploma/GED preferred
• Two years cleaning experience required
• Supervisory experience preferred

Compliance

• Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or the ability to obtain one.
• Successfully pass the drug screening process.
• Successfully clear the Central Registry background check process.
• Valid AZ Driver's License and a driving record that falls within UMOM's policy
• 50/100 level of car insurance coverage (mileage reimbursement available)

• This position is very active and requires remaining in a stationary position and/or moving for a majority of the workday. The person in this position frequently operates equipment, ascends/descends stairs and ladders, positions self to accomplish essential tasks, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and reaching all day. The employee must frequently move and transport items over 50 pounds. The duties of this job require regular exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises.
