Position Title : Fiscal Assistant

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Accounting Assistant IV plans, administers, and evaluates fiscal accountability system and collaborates with management in all related matters.

Responsible for general accounting functions to include general ledger and accounts payable. Coordinates data applications and information projects for the departments;

Assists administration in budget development and performs backup duties of front desk receptionist, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION

An BS / BA in business or related fields and two (2) years of experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping activities;

OR five (5) years progressively responsible work experience in a combination of accounts payable, accounts receivable, full-charge bookkeeping and budgeting.

• Considerable knowledge of general accounting principles, governmental accounting and regulatory requirements regarding human service financing.
• Demonstrable strengths in fiscal administration.
• Ability to communicate and work well with a diverse, interdisciplinary staff with strength in communication and diplomacy.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to be intuitive, work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid Oregon driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
