Job Description

Our client is a busy Medical office located in Tarpon Springs. They are seeking a temporary Claims & Appeals Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks, multitask, and have high attention to detail.

Position Responsibilities:

• Follow up on claims from billing through final resolution
• Verify claims status with insurance
• Prepare and review claims for electronic and hard copy billing resubmission
• Denial and Appeal Management on all payers
• Correct any billing errors and resubmit claims to insurance carriers
• Reviewing and remittance advice for payment errors, denials, and under payments
• Be courteous and cooperate with patients, visitors, co-workers, and management

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• High attention to detail, multitask, and prioritize tasks
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in insurance collections, including submitting and following up on claims from commercial, government, or private insurances
• The ability to read and understand EOBs Claim Adjustment Reason Codes
• Knowledge of ICD- 10 and CPT codes and Payer medical policies
• Ability to identify, track, and report payer denial trends to management
• Accounts Receivables for commercial, government, and managed care accounts experience
• Outpatient and hospital billing and collections/ facility billing
• Must be proficient in MS Office with a focus in Excel
• The ability to work independently and part of a team
• NextGen experience is preferred but not required

Pay Rate: $20-$22/ Hour

Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
