UIC is seeking an AV Support Associate to join our Technology Solutions, Learning Technologies Support (LTS) team. This role will lead a team of 30 undergraduate students who will primarily be responsible for providing in-person support to instructors using the technology available in UIC's 190 centrally managed classrooms and also ensuring the operational availability of UIC's 12 open/teaching computer labs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Hiring, mentoring, disciplining, daily supervision/scheduling, and completing student payroll-related tasks of our 30 Classroom Tech (CT) support student team.
• Ongoing training and development of our CT support student team
• Teaching the use of streaming tools (Zoom and Echo 360) used in conjunction with the IT/A/V equipment in our 190 centrally managed classrooms
• Develop instruction regarding IT/AV technical support for UIC’s 190 centrally managed classrooms and 12 computer labs
• Developing and improving the IT/AV classroom troubleshooting documentation that is used by our CT student support team
• Escalating technical support incidents to junior and senior level LTS AV support staff when needed
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
