Responsibilities

Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as an IOP Therapist. The Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist assists in the bio-psychosocial assessment, case management and treatment of patients under the supervision of the Director of Outpatient Services. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, activities of daily living and communication with referral sources and families, works closely with marketing and AR to communicate referral sources and hospital discharge planner.

The IOP Therapist develops, organizes and implements clinical and program activities; directs the implementation and ensures compliance with JCAHO and other related agencies and standards which promote optimum health care delivery. The Therapist is responsible for participating in performance improvement activities, addressing deficits, identifying new problem areas and developing plans of action.

Spring Mountain Behavioral Services has provided mental health services to the Las Vegas community since 2001, treating children, teens, adults and senior adults with behavioral health or addiction issues. We offer a supportive and healthy environment with 24-hour care that allows people of all ages to make positive changes in their lives. Our primary location, Spring Mountain Treatment Center, focuses on the stabilization of acute symptoms for patients age 5 to 65, along with select outpatient care programs for teens. Our secondary location, Spring Mountain Sahara, houses our Adult Outpatient and Senior Adult Inpatient programs. 

Spring Mountain Treatment Center is a 110-bed mental health facility that provides acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children in a secure inpatient setting. Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Therapist). 

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling.
  • Current license from the State of Nevada, LCSW required.
  • Serve as point person in IOP to bring critical issues forward to Senior Leadership at SMTC campus
  • Coordinate issues needs with Director of Business Development and Director of Clinical Services.
  • Serve as point person for BH Division IOP Director, attend site visits and calls as needed.
  • Ensure MHO/Dynamic Forms/Pt Satisfaction surveys are entered timely.
  • Ensure CALOCUS/LOCUS Assessments are completed. Maintains understanding of which payor sources require assessments.
  • Maintains understanding of utilization management needs of payors and special obligation.
  • Assist with UR Updates and Concurrent Reviews as needed within the department. Coordinate UR issues/needs with Director of Utilization Management.
  • Work/coordinate with the Director of Risk/PI on regulatory requirements applicable to IOP.
  • Must have minimum of three years experience in a psychiatric setting. 
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of psychiatric treatment, standards and requirements of all hospital agencies.
  • Understand and honor the established hospital rules, regulations, and Policy & Procedures.
  • Knowledge of group therapy theory and practice, group processes, therapeutic relationship processes, age specific growth and development, addictions issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management and aggressive behaviors and CPR training.
