SUMMARY: The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support and coordination of specific HR functions including leaves of absence, benefits, workers' compensation related activities and responsibilities.Essential Functions include but not limited to: Answers incoming calls for HR department and responsible for opening and distributing all incoming mail. Uses appropriate phone etiquette and service skills in all phone interactions. Assist with monitoring the HR front desk, by greeting and assisting incoming customers. Applies excellent customer service skills to both internal and external customers and staff. Responsible for entry into the HRIS system of all new hires and ensures employees are "set up" in the HRIS system accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS: Standard office procedures practice, to include heavy filing. Organization and prioritization methods relative to forms, applications, and time sensitive documents. Professional telephone etiquette. Customer service skills. Word, excel, power point) and basic office equipment. Lawson system preferred.
HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree required. Minimum one (1) year of office administration with Human Resource experience required.
