UCLA is Hiring an Undergraduate Academic Advisor Near Los Angeles, CA
This position will serve as the main resource for undergraduate students within the department of Anthropology. The Undergraduate Advisor will coordinate, plan, develop, implement, and modify policies and procedures for the efficient operation of undergraduate counseling needs. They work closely with the SAO III, Chair, Undergraduate Vice Chair, and the department manager on short- and long-term scheduling and programmatic planning for the undergraduate and graduate curricula. They also counsel undergraduate students and applicants on all aspects of the undergraduate program including degree requirements (BA, BS and minor), progress to degree, and student petitions. The position will also coordinate departmental events including the Undergraduate Student Open House, commencement, and university programs including Bruin Day, Major Blast, and Transfer Day. The role will also attend freshman/transfer student orientation sessions. Occasional weekend hours are required of this role in order to participate in student informational events and commencement. Role will also serve as Evaluation Instruction Program Coordinator.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, faculty, administrators, students, and the public from various backgrounds (social, cultural, economic or educational) on an individual basis or in a group setting.
Required
Knowledge of University student services such as Counseling and Psychological Services, Career Center, College Academic Counseling, Registrar's Office, Undergraduate Admissions, Dean of Students, Center for Accessible Education and other resource centers and services to assist students in need.

Working knowledge of the department's program requirements and regulations for undergraduate degrees, including specific College of Letters and Science policies.
