Unfold the mysteries of the cell and the basic structure and function of the nervous, muscular, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, and immune systems by taking this online course. Whether you are preparing for a career in health sciences, planning to teach introductory science courses, or simply want to understand the latest news stories about genetic engineering or personal health, you can benefit from the cutting-edge information presented in this introductory course offered in an asynchronous online format.
The Department of Health Sciences and Sciences at UCLA Extension offers a wide variety of certificate programs and courses including transfer-credit (XL), post baccalaureate credit-bearing (400-level), continuing education (CEU) credit, and non-credit-bearing general interest courses. UCLA Extension courses and certificate programs offer students the opportunity to learn from highly qualified practitioners who hold advanced degrees, are passionate about teaching and impart knowledge within their field of expertise. Applications to teach are accepted throughout the year in order to fill immediate program needs and to increase the depth of the instructor pool.
An opening for an Instructor is available in the discipline of Physiological Science. Qualified applicants possessing a Ph.D. degree in physiological science, physiology, or related degree and teaching experience at the college level are encouraged to apply.
This course will be offered in the online format using the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).
