THE DEPARTMENT
Equality Action Center (EAC), housed at UC Law, San Francisco, is a leading national nonprofit and research organization devoted to advancing racial, gender and class equity at a structural level with concrete, evidence based-interventions. EAC’s current initiatives include leadership training programs for advancing women leaders; research, tools, and training partnerships to interrupt biasand increase opportunities in business, law, STEM, construction trades, architecture, and other industries; and bridging the diploma divide to fix the relationship between college and noncollege voters.
EAC grew out of the Center for WorkLife Law, another research center at UC Law San Francisco.
THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Equality Action Center employs a Program Associates who provide administrative support, ensure smooth running of daily operations, and work closely with the Center’s Director, Senior Vice President to support Equality Action Center’s groundbreaking work in pursuit of gender and racial equity.
The Program Associate will support EAC’s directors and other staff members in a range of administrative and project tasks, including administrative support, scheduling, and other executive assistance for EAC’s directors, as well as general office functions. Additional responsibilities will vary based on the Program Associate’s qualifications and EAC’s needs, but may include website and social media maintenance, event planning, project management, non-profit administration, and/or occasional assistance with research and writing.
This is a one-year contract appointment, with the possibility of renewal.
