Job Responsibilities

The Clinical Applications Professional provides leadership and performs a variety of duties relating to the Clinical Information Systems applications. Responsibilities include: Providing leadership and serving as technical resource to the team; Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating clinical information systems for the organization; Participating in planning, developing, training, implementation, and evaluation of information systems to support clinical practice and ensure development, evaluation, and ongoing support for all components of the program.

Required Qualifications

Applicants are encouraged to upload license and certification if required of the position.

  • Certified in ASAP (Epic ED module).
  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical nursing field (Nursing, MLT, Radiology. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Epic Electronic medical Record (EMR) build and configuration.
  • Experience working with multiple clinical information systems or system implementation teams for complex projects and/or application development.
  • Experience with methods and tools to the systems development life cycle as related to clinical informatics.
  • Experience with designing and monitoring technology-enabled organizational change.
  • Experience with quality improvement principles. practices, and tools into system design.
  • Experience with coordinating system development and implementation with relevant clinical operations initiatives and informatics projects.
  • Experience with organizational strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop system design and training projects.
  • Experience working with clinical information systems or system implementation teams for complex projects and/or application.
  • Experience with management, information system trends, and professional practice standards.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical practices and principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze applicability and appropriateness. Develop an efficient workflow and subsequent computerized process.
  • Proficient in office automation software (word processing, spreadsheets. visual presentation, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or build experience in EpicCare lP Clinical Documentation.
  • Experience in a clinical healthcare practice environment providing direct patient care, including end user experience with healthcare information systems
  • Experience working in an academic institution or large integrated health system.
  • Experience with advanced application of adult learning principles and clinical system design standards.

Special Requirements
