Customer Obsession AI team's mission is to transform data into intelligence by leveraging and pushing the frontiers of AI, developing high quality scalable AI infrastructure, and collaborating on innovative applications to enable efficient, personalized and magical support experiences for our customers. Our specific area of expertise is in NLP and Generative AI. We are a full-stack AI team working on LLM research, rapid model prototyping, robust evaluation systems, and reliable infrastructure for deployment scale.
---- What the Candidate Will Do ----
We are looking for software engineers with deep expertise in NLP / GenAI and end-to-end experience launching large-scale AI models in production.

• Develop creative solutions and build prototypes to business problems using algorithms based on machine learning, statistics, and optimization, and work with engineering/product to deploy those algorithms and create impact in production.
• Drive clarity and solve ambiguous, challenging business problems using data-driven approaches.
• Propose and own data analysis (including modeling, coding, analytics, and experimentation) to drive business insight and facilitate decisions.

We are looking for candidates with deep expertise in NLP / GenAI and end-to-end experience launching large scale AI models in production.
Basic qualifications:

• Ph.D., MS, or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field OR 5 years full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 2 years total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:
  
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. C, C , Java, Python, or Go)
  • Training using data structures and algorithms
  • Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of machine learning
• Note the 2-year total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research,or similar (OR some combination of these). The years of specialized experience are not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with end-to-end development of Generative AI projects
• Knowledge of the latest research in Generative AI and NLP
• Experience developing and deploying ML models at large scale
• Machine Learning Software such as Tensorflow/Pytorch, Caffe, Scikit-Learn, or Spark MLLib

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$185,000 per year - USD$205,500 per year.
