Summary

This position is an Administrative Officer, GS-0341-7 / 9 working for the R3-Carterville Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office.

Duties

The Pathways Recent Graduate Program is for recently graduated or graduating individuals who are looking for developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service.

Recent Graduates will serve on this appointment for one year. During the first year the selectee will perform developmental activities designed to help them acquire the competencies of the target position in which they may be placed upon completion of the program.

Participants who successfully complete the Recent College Graduates Program may be eligible for conversion to the target position on a permanent or term (more than one to four years in duration) basis without further competition.

As an Administrative Officer your duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Responsible for tracking budget throughout the year and executing end of year closeout.
  • Responsible for assuring all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures for budget submissions are followed.

  • Performs or directs the acquisition of necessary supplies and equipment; prepares all proper paperwork, maintains liaison with Regional Contracting and General Services office.
  • Manage uniform accounts, time and attendance, travel documents, credit card purchases, expense tracking, onboarding new staff, and office supplies for nearly 25 staff.
  • Ensures that expense items are obligated and invoices are processed in accordance with the Service's financial management guidelines and with regulatory and legal requirements.
