This position is located in the Property and Asset Management Division (PAMD), Office of Logistical Services (OLS), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO), in the United States Capitol Police (USCP). Responsible for providing logistical support services for law enforcement officer life support requirements, commodity distribution, routine events, special events, emergency operations, and internal moving services. The incumbent plans, coordinates, and executes logistical requirements based on operational needs. Coordinates mission support for supply, maintenance, procurement, transportation, inventory management, quality assurance, facilities, property management, production control, and property disposal. Provide continuity of operations as needed for all organizations within the Office of Logistics (OLS) as directed. Prepares and presents briefings, reports, analyses, and recommendations which assist in the formulation of decisions regarding long- and short-range logistics program planning and execution.
Makes appropriate entries in Maximo including, logging in and issuing out equipment as necessary. Performs custodial property officer (CPO) duties for the section. Leads the team by identifying, distributing and balancing workload, and adjusts workload as needed, ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product. Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, and reviews completed work to ensure that instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality have been met. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts senior PAMD management when problems arise.
You must be a U.S. Citizen. Successful completion of a Background Investigation is required. Must complete a one year probationary period.
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.
For the CP-9/GS-11 you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least CP-8/GS-10 level, which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled, and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience is defined as experience which includes: 1) skill in using automated supply and financial enterprise systems for budget and for supply management functions; 2) ability to analyze and resolve difficult issues and problems; and 3) interpret and analyze metrics/statistical data and ability to reduce such data to clear, precise written summaries, reports, recommendations, etc.

However, deliberate misstatements, omissions, or intentionally withholding required information at any phase of the hiring process will result in a candidate's disqualification regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatement or omission. The primary reason candidates fail a background investigation is due to deliberately withholding or omitting material facts. Providing false and/or misleading information may be grounds for removal from the application and selection process.
