OFM plans and directs all financialactivities associated with budget development and execution, accounting andfinancial statement preparation, accounts payable, and, travel. Represents theDirector, OFM in agency, departments and interdepartmental meetings andcommittees. Makes commitments and recommendation concerning OFM policies andactivities. Advises the Division Heads within OFM. Supervises andassigns work, and provides both operational and programmatic strategicgoals.Manages and coordinates operationsand information within the Immediate Office as well as other areas in OFM. Assistsin coordinating of OFM activities. Serves as advisor and consultant to the OFMDirector on matters relative to the various program offices within the OFM,with special emphasis on administrative information, coordination, andoversight. Identifies, coordinates, Implements, and follows-up on thecompletion of special projects and initiatives; consultation with the Directormay be required for extremely sensitive subjects or for new areas of work.Projects may be very complex and broad, may involve a great amount ofcoordination with the Chief of Police, Chief Administrative Officer, Chief ofOperations, and Deputy Chiefs, Office Directors, and OFM Division Heads orother outside stakeholders. Plan, develop, deploy and maintain theoperational aspects of a newly planned internal control program forDepartment-wide overtime salary.Assists in executing overall requirements forStrategic Planning, Programming and Budgeting systems (PPBS) management,information and Performance measures, matrix and metrics management, analysisand best practices. Prepares and contributes to reports and otherpresentations on program planning and evaluation. Designs and conducts awide variety of comprehensive studies and detailed analyses of complexfunctions and processes related to long-range planning.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentYou must be a U.S. Citizen.Successful completion of a Background Investigation is required.Must complete a one year probationary period.QualificationsIn order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.Forthe CP-13 level you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experienceequivalent to at least the CP-12/GS-14 level which is in or directly related tothe line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped theapplicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities tosuccessfully perform the duties of the position. However, deliberate misstatements, omissions, or intentionally withholding required information at any phase of the hiring process will result in a candidate's disqualification regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatement or omission. The primary reason candidates fail a background investigation is due to deliberately withholding or omitting material facts.
