** Business Operations Manager - Electric Transportation Job**

**Position Summary**

Lead Business Operations and Finance activities for Xcel Energys Electric Transportation group. Build out processes and best practices focused on continuous improvement to support Xcel Energys Electric Vehicle (EV) vision to see 1.5 million EVs on our roads by 2030.

**Essential Responsibilities**

* Understand existing operational processes and identify, define, recommend, and implement best practices to improve performance, streamline processes, and enhance the customer experience. Develop/analyze business solutions and ensure consistent processes are established and followed.

* Develop and monitor business plans, scorecards and operating budgets. Support, participate, and lead cross-functional team efforts focusing on gathering, analyzing and ensuring the integrity of data. Build dashboard and reporting tools to track Electric Transportation program progress with a focus on continuous improvement.

* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities for Electric Transportation. Oversee development of business area budget and forecasts. Ensure that business plans and budgets support achievement of earnings targets. Support business plan, financial performance indicators and development of business area financial priorities. Develops and owns best practices in forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis to support internal and external reporting and enhance the profitability of each Operating Company. Provide reporting and strategic guidance and direction to leadership to improve overall financial effectiveness.

* Identify and partner with Electric Transportation team to develop strategies related to revenue growth and costs reduction opportunities. Team with business area leadership to develop action plans to address identified deficiencies. Directs the short and long-term strategic planning activities relating to Electric Transportation budgeting and accounting.

* Responsible for providing analysis and tracking of O&M budget, capital budget, forecasts, and financial data for CCIO leadership. Manage, direct and coordinate the development of funding requests during the annual budget process. Team with Electric Transportation leadership, policy, commercial, and residential teams to guide effective tracking and achievement of financial goals.

**Minimum Requirements**

* Bachelors degree in business, finance, operations, strategy, or related discipline.

* Advanced degree preferred.

* Minimum of 7 years experience in various job-related areas including budgeting, finance, business planning, operations, continuous improvement, renewables, or electric transportation.

* Demonstrated experience participating on and/or leading cross-functional team activities and partnering across internal and external teams to move work forward.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Previous experience building dashboards, reporting tools, and presentations.

* Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills required.

*During COVID-19 Pandemic this position may require the ability to temporarily work remote within the company service territory until company protocol dictates return to the office criteria has been met. Telecommuting Policy: A plan has been created to officially rollout a hybrid work-from-home option that will take effect when it is safe to move forward to return to the workplace. This position will participate in this new policy.*
