Job Summary

Proactively seek new corporate partnership opportunities working within the Office of Corporate engagement, leveraging both existing networks and emerging business development prospecting tools. The ability to reach VP-level decision makers within Fortune 500 Companies and all others, researching and understanding market needs, research potential partners, make initial contactvia phone and email, educate prospects, qualify leads, and schedule meetings before transitioning to relationship managers. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Office of Corporate Engagement (OCE) and unit-based corporate relationship staff, and corporate facing campus units. This position typically will collaborate with Corporate-facing GT staff, faculty, researchers, corporate partners, and other external stakeholders to develop more effective and efficient methods for generating new collaborations for Georgia Tech. This position will supervise: N/A.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Work with OCE and Campus organizations to identify target audiences for collaboration and proactively develop new opportunities. Job Duty 2 - Research potential partners, make initial contactvia phone and email, educate prospects, qualify leads, and schedule meetings before transitioning to relationship managers. Job Duty 3 - Survey campus partners/stakeholders and GT data sources to compose documents presenting a holistic picture of the current engagement of new collaborators. Job Duty 4 - Work within OCE for continuous improvement of proactive engagement strategies and processes

Job Duty 5 - Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
Two to five years job related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Advanced degree preferred in an engineering and/or business discipline.
Preferred Experience
Two or more years of university-industry collaboration experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE
Strong understanding and ability to analyze financial data in a university environment. Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office suite. Strong proficiency with Excel.
SKILLS
Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form. Demonstrated skills in collaboration in teams comprised of faculty, staff and external partnerships preferred.
