Summary :

• Our Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately;
• taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management;

any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.

Pay / Schedule :

This role pays $24.10 an hour (not negotiable) with a $1 Shift Premium, this is for B Shift, the schedule rotates between Team Members, but generally a Team Member works 4-5 days a week, with about a 9 hour shift.

Requirements :

Education : High School diploma / GED

Experience : Minimum of 1 year experience in the Prepared Foods / Fresh Meats industry or other QA type experience required .

Communication Skills : Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Special Skills : Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce;
• good problem identification and problem solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications;

must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed.

Physical Requirements : Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
