Tyndale USA is Hiring a Quality Auditor Near Houston, TX

Tyndale is a three-time consecutive Houston Top Workplace winner; come join our winning team! We are in search of an experienced and versatile Warehouse Associate focused on quality to join the 1st Shift team (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), located at our distribution center near I-45N and Beltway 8. This extremely detail-oriented person will primarily work with both the Warehouse and Manufacturing Departments to ensure Tyndale garments meet the required specifications. The Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for assisting in staging and put away of garments and other various duties within the warehouse such as picking, receiving, and shipping.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit Tyndale Manufactured garments for conformance to quality standards including (but not limited to) workmanship and sizing;
  • Accurately record measurements using tape measures and iPad;
  • Review and inspect “seconds” received from our manufacturing facilities;
  • Convert “seconds,” if possible, to first quality and inform manufacturing department on type of seconds – manufacturing, material flaws, etc.;
  • Assist in cycle counts of all storage locations to validate inventory figures;
  • Unload incoming shipments from parcel delivery trucks; Stage and sort shipments;
  • Verify and inspect shipments as per Tyndale Receiving Guidelines;
  • Put away material following established put away procedures;
  • Follow picking instructions from hand-held device;
  • Pick correct garments for customer orders according to the hand-held device’s instructions; Enter quantity picked into scanner;
  • Separate orders into groups or singles in preparation for shipping;

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
  • Must be able to spend long periods of time standing and also lifting cartons of garments up to 40 lbs;
  • Excellent attention to detail required;
  • Minimum of 3 months’ experience working with garments (preferred);
  • Familiarity of MAS 500 and a warehouse management system (WMS) is a plus;
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment preferred;
  • Ability to read and record accurate measurements to 1/8";
