TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is Hiring an Operations / Safety Manager Near Scottsdale, AZ
The Operations / Safety Manager is responsible for training new movers and drivers as well as ensuring TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® customer satisfaction through spot checks. In addition, they will handle the coordination and management of all activities involved with maintaining the safety of the organization. The Operations / Safety Manager should have general knowledge of functional support areas, including the core business, customer service, human resources, and moving.
What We Offer
- Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 annually (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain safety systems, policies and procedures; ensure all documentation concerning safety is up-to-date
- Coordinate and manage safety committee meetings with all franchise employees
- Conduct safety spot checks weekly
- Understand all state and federal driving and interstate moving requirements
- Ensure franchise compliance with all DOT regulations and OSHA guidelines; maintain OSHA logs
- Actively participate in meetings; make suggestions for ways to improve our procedures, customer service and marketing our services
- Ensure compliance with the policies laid out in the employee handbook and/or presented by management
- Communicate upward through monthly reports of all safety areas for franchisee review
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Effective listening and communication; helpful and friendly with co-workers, customers, and management
- Proficiency in map reading and the ability to communicate directions to the drivers
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization; bilingual is a plus
- Strong logic and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of dollars, weight measurement, volume, distance, and time)
- Creative problem-solving abilities for a variety of situations with limited standardized procedures
- Stamina to lift heavy items (100 lbs. or more) repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.
- Strong team player who works productively with a wide range of people and personalities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be proficient with the following Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test and background check
